The services that I offer are in the development of pest management practices that are compatible with organic and sustainable production, insect identification, teaching and education, development of an Integrated Pest Management Program for your farm or garden.

  • 30 yrs experience in entomology and pest management research, education, education and advice including 16 yrs in Plant Health and Biosecurity with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency
  • 4 yrs international experience in Thailand and Indonesia as well as China and India
  • insect identification and taxonomy (beetles)
  • pest management consulting in tree fruit, berry, landscape and nursery, greenhouse and field vegetable
  • over 30 years experience in insect pest management control, research, extension, and training including 4 years in Asia (Thailand, Indonesia, China, India)
  • extension, training and participatory on-farm research with limited resource farmers in the area of crop protection in Asia
  • foreign exploration of natural enemies and evaluation of candidate biological control agents
  • pest surveillance and collection of natural enemies for distribution
  • plant health regulation including: plant quarantine, policy development, biosafety

  • project management including grant writing, project development, implementation, coordination, reporting and evaluation.
